Junior End of Season Presentation

The evening was for the u13 - u17 teams and their parents to enjoy a carvery meal and be presented with the awards for the players, 115 attended. Apologies were sent from the club President who is a great supporter of the youth rugby teams who was unable to attend.
Tom Andrews gave a small speech about the u13 season , Cameron Doig gave one on becoming a county player, Ashley Barsley on becoming a Three Counties player, Joe Powell and Liam Smith on the u16 and 17 season, and lastly Connor Murphy on the Junior Rugby Tour to Ross On Wye.
The Junior Chairman Simon Horniblow gave thanks to all the helpers and committee, coaches and managers along with the companies who have supported us this season - Sills and Betteridge, West End cinema, Port of Boston, Lynx Engineering, Julian's, and Acres of Fencing, and he encouraged parents and players to get more involved and help promote the club to continue the development that has been achieved over the season.
He highlited the events going on over the summer months, the Summer Ball and beer and bands night - tickets still available - the emergency I's a Knockout on July 11th in partnership with the Hospital and in aid of the Intensive Care Unit which should be a fun day. A team will be entered from the Junior section.
Simon presented the Junior Club Man of the Year to Paul Beard and thanked him for his contribution as a referee over the season and wished him well in his career in the Royal Navy.
Dr Kenny Doig was also thanked for his contribution as a referee and coach over the last 9 seasons with the youth squads

Mini Presentation afternoon

The Mini Section Presentation was held on Saturday afternoon. Again lots of players and families attended. The presentation was made by Simon again with a similar speech to the night before, but he included Aaron from the u8 and Ben and asked what it was like to win a trophy which the u8's did at Huddersfield and what the u11 season went like which was very successful. He followed this with the presentation of the trophies as listed, this was then followed by a BBQ and disco.
